Hello and welcome to my first blog post here in sunny Anglesey. What a start to the day, the garden chorus is in full swing, singing their happy, cheerful songs to welcome the new day….love it, it puts that smile into your day!!!

Well it’s been a long time coming, this website, I can tell you but the time must be right now and I do feel way more confident with what I am doing. ( I think ???)

I can’t believe it’s a whole month since launching the website, thanks to a very lovely friend, Ian, who has been an absolute star and so generous with his time and knowledge, helping me create this site. If you have been with me from the start you will know how many attempts I’ve tried setting one up and got frustrated because I didn’t have the time or knowhow. I was so low and eventually asked for help in desperation and Ian and his lovely wife Beryl came to my rescue. I am so incredibly lucky to have such wonderful friends.

Now I am trying to get a couple of paintings completed and under my belt so to speak as I really haven’t painted properly in such a long time just a stolen hour here and there. I always seem to be just moving things along and not actually finishing anything at the moment, which is very frustrating. Now my focus is slightly lessened on getting the business side of my practice in order, I can now concentrate a little more on my painting  ….yay!!!

My first blog is all about the lady in the logo,

The lady in the logo.

Ta - dah!!!

The question I get asked more than any other is; “what’s the story behind the little dancing lady”? (I call her my “Ta-dah” lady. )
The short answer is, when I was little and I thought I’d done something amazing and completely awesome, I wanted
other people to join in the fun and make them smile too  ( like making the largest mud pies, ever!!! along with my brother,
we were so proud of our tremendous efforts- much to the horror of my poor mum as she took in the sight before her,
which we were utterly oblivious to, we were having way too much fun!!!) so I would strike the pose and announce, at the top of my voice,
“Ta- dah!!!”
I no longer make mud pies, sadly, although my husband and son may say differently (cooking is not my forte’)  but the memories, they make me smile. What was I thinking ? I would  be so totally caught up in the awe and delight of making or doing something. That little girl has never gone away, she may look older but she’s still here trying to make you smile and trying to make something wonderful!!!  She is me and the  heart forming the chest represents everything I do, is done with passion, from the heart and the circles represent my world, my family, my friends and my art.

                                                                                                                              Ta-dah!!!
